New scholarship honors family man, James M. Johnson

Faith, family, and farming were the core values of our Husband and Father, James M. Johnson (Jim).

James M. Johnson

When Jim passed away in February, the massive outpouring of love and support from the memorials given in hishonor made it clear that his legacy and passion needed to continue.

The farm and Johnson family will always be his legacy. His passion for agriculture awakened our hearts to establish the new James M. Johnson Scholarship. We are proud to honor our Husband and Father by keeping his legacy and passion for agriculture growing with this scholarship.

James raised hogs on the Johnson Family farm in the 1950s.

This perpetual scholarship will be awarded to a DeKalb County senior high school student pursuing a career in agriculture.

The farming community in this county is extraordinarily strong with a continued bright future. As a family, we look forward to witnessing the growth of this fund, while assisting and building agricultural careers in loving memory of our Husband and Father, James Morgan Johnson.
