Remembering Vintage Toys

Dean Milano loves old toys. He’s got lots of them to prove it.

He will showcase some of his vintage toys for Farm Bureau members on Monday, April 3 at 1 p.m. in the Farm Bureau Theater. Some toys will be on display and others will be featured in a slide presentation.

Dean, from the Chicagoland area, started seriously collecting in the late 1970s and 30 years later, he acquired enough vintage items to open his own antique toy museum, which closed after a few years. He still continues to collect and display his much loved collection.

He previously worked at Revell-Monogram Model Kit Company in product development but has since retired.

Prior to this program, lunch will be served in the Farm Bureau Auditorium at 12-noon for Prime Timers, Farm Bureau members 55+ years. Lunch fee is $8, payable by March 28 at the Farm Bureau office.

Farm Bureau members may also bring their vintage toys to be on display during this program. Tables will be setup in the Farm Bureau lobby. Members should provide a note card with their name and any information about their old toy.
