State Rep. Tom Demmer (left) met with the DeKalb County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and President Mark Tuttle (right) recently to provide a legislative update.
In the spring session, he voted in favor of the state budget and was supportive of improvements to infrastructure. “It’s not a perfect budget, but we got some things accomplished,” said Rep. Demmer. He supported the 19-cent motor fuel tax increase to fund infrastructure projects such as much needed improvements to roads and bridges. Demmer also supported Illinois Farm Bureau lobbying efforts including a three-year moratorium on the Livestock Management Facilities Act.
